Covered Up is about masking—both literally and emotionally. Inspired by Jeej’s own youth, where blending in was a form of protection, this piece flips concealment into something beautiful. The flower blooms, not in spite of the cover-up, but because of it.
Part of the Once Upon A Crime series, it reclaims the “negative space” and turns it into presence. Created in layers of texture, contrast and raw elegance.
